2 posts in March. Pathetic.
No posts in April. Even more pathetic.
But hey, it ain't my fault. I had some pics to upload...pics of the pepper crusher my group made, pics from the Engineering Fac dinner and pics of the hastily-thought-up-and-hammered-into-existence wind turbine (Don't laugh. It does generate 3mV ya know...). The only reason you're not seeing them on this here blog is because the line sucks and the upload progress bar gets stuck somewhere in the middle.
So what I'm gonna do instead is blog on what's happened to me recently in this farce of a university. Not too creative, I know, but then again everyone's doing it. Talk about jumping into the boat.
The past few weeks weren't really kind to me. Just glad the 4 presentation, 2 assignment & 1 test season is over. And did I mention all that happened in just the past week?
The weeks before that were spent pushing and shoving in the MechEng workshop (again) to finish our pepper crusher. Ours wasn't the most novel of designs, but it gets the job done. That and like Quay said, it's pretty heavy. But what would you expect? The damn thing's basically a hollowed out aluminium cylinder after all.
And then there was last Saturday's FENG (thats Faculty of ENGineering) dinner, which was supposed to be like a reward for all those weeks of hard work.
The whole thing wasn't bad I must say. Food was so-so, emcee/host was witty/funny and girls were pretty. See what a difference makeup actually does? Even to engineering girls?
The music was ok too, but the live band just had to mangle up Green Day's 'Wake Me Up When September Ends' and My Chemical Romance's 'I Don't Love You'.
Verdict: RM15 not really well spent, but I guess it was the location rental that drove the price up.
And then fast forward to yesterday. Actually this morning. Early morning.
The internet worked well enough for a period of 2 hours, which allowed us to stream the MU vs Roma match...which ended in a 7-1 rout. Damn, I'm proud to be an MU fan.
Anyways, at half time Chai decided to switch the channel and watch the Valencia vs Chelsea match instead. Too many goals in a one-sided demolition made for a boring match he said. Turns out, watching Valencia strikers run into defenders was equally if not even more boring. Something like watching grass grow or paint dry...you get the idea, right?
I mean Valencia sucked, man. They really sucked. They sucked so bad, it almost made me pissed. Heck, here I was hoping they'd win and give Jose Mourinho a kick in his balls, but they just had to suck. I mean c'mon, it's Valencia we're talking about. Title challengers in the La Liga. And they sucked. And friggin' Chelsea's now in the semifinals.
Wait...just how many times did I use 'suck(ed)' in the above paragraph? I count 5? Well that doesn't do them justice. I'll use it once more and make it 6: Valencia, you sucked!
Guess I'll have to hope now that Liverpool dish out some punishment to Chelski in the semis. That is, if PSV doesn't by some miracle of the highest order overturn a 3-0 deficit at Anfield. Do I hear the roar of the Kop now? No? Maybe it's the roar of the Mancs drowning them out.
MU 7 - 1 AS Roma.
Yeah, baby!
Song of the moment: My Chemical Romance - I Don't Love You.
Beautiful stuff. Just beautiful.
