Hi there, I don't think you know me but i'm of friend of Shu Li. Was looking at your in-flight pics, wondering how you took it without being affected by the aircraft window? It's always scratched and stuff, your's looked clear!
Heya. Yeah, Shu Li did mention you once or twice in our conversations I think.
Anyways what I normally do is the usual stuff I'm sure even you've tried out. Wipe the window (with my shirt sleeve or anything handy that will even out any smudges and handprints) and push the camera lens as close as possible to the window pane, sometimes even touching it. The latter is to minimize reflections of your hand and camera.
Most of the time, if the scratches on the window are minor ones, they wont show on my pics cos if my camera is really close to the window, the scratches will be out of focus. It's different if the scratches are on the other side of the window though. Can't do anything I'm afraid. Had some bad experiences with em myself. But of course, I travel mostly on Air Asia and their planes are literally brand new, so that helps too I guess.
